Col,that's a "beut" of a sea trout - but there's only so many shades of green I can turn. You'll need to get back to work and stop tormenting us (those chained to desks) with these pics ;D ;D Here's a beut I had a fight with for 8hrs yesterday !!

Well done there! I was down last night too but didn't touch anything. Saw a few runners though. One old hand was saying you'll never catch anything in that colour of water - what a load of rubbish some folk spout!

I popped down again tonight. Lost a silver beauty after a fair struggle. It was just one of those fish hooked on the dangle which is never a great start. Never gained control of the fish and it stayed downstream and wrapped the cast around a rock under my bank - ah well! Would probably have went back anyway.
Water was in good nick, just under 2ft. Hope it doesn't rise too much overnight.

You are having some great fishing at the moment- Keep 'em coming. Is the Hutton Mills water available on fishTweed any good when the water is right?- I see the five year average is only six fish a year or so?
Nice one. Simon

TyneTraveller Hutton Mills is fine water, even more so when there is water in the Whiteadder. It is opposite TAS water. TAS also have another couple of miles above the Hutton Estate water, and SK fishes a bit further upstream still, I believe. What needs to be borne in mind is that Water, or no Water, the Whiteadder is a beautiful but difficult river to fish. Col's results are great, but exceptional. The Whiteadder at this time of year needs local knowledge, or significant experience, to fish in reasonable expectation. Due (thankfully) to a lack of commercial letting and/or exploitation, a lot of the prime bits remain overgrown, unknown, and all a bit much to contemplate for those used to gillies and easy access. Long may this remain. All I would like to say is that without water, migratory fish will be hard to encounter in this lovely River. Bet Col would get 'em though!
