1st Post. Tay 25.5lbs on the 27th Jan on a Kynoch. Tweed 19 lbs on a size 12 Siver stoat. PB River Leven 19lbs on the shrimp and 16.5lbs on the fly. Been very lucky. Welcome to the forum para1, some nice fish there - was the first one on 27th Jan this year?

Thanks for th welcome. I'm hunting for the photo as it has the date on it, I think it was 97.

Springer, the fish were caught on a home tied black and silver tube fly. I will hunt some pictures out for you.
Yes they are big fish but trust me on this one there are bigger fish to be had! Only this season there was a confirmed report of a VERY Large fish being lost near the area from where my fish were taken.
And that area is near Durham.
I can recall that in the same year one `old boy` had a 33lb fish using a Diawa Osprey 12`6 glass rod, oh boy what a fight from a big fish on such a light rod. It is strange to think that this same `old boy` is the one who taught me how to fish this area. I still think there is a 40 lb fish to come from this area.
