You were quite right Stoater, there were plenty of fish around the Lower Tweed yesterday. It doesn't mean they are easy to catch tho! Cheers F

If it is that bad, and you're desperate, and your morals are hit by the weather, perhaps you should try going for a swim in a lie...just before someone fishes it!

not desperate rp i work on it. its trying to keep the anglers happy. Incidentally have tried to get anglers to use sunrays but they will have none of it. As i say a change is as good as a rest

What about at least "ghosting" the pools before the anglers turn up?
How about accidentally guiding the boat over their lies?

Possibly because the spring & early summer catches were well down on the 5 year averages? I don't really see the logic in deleting season so far figures when individual beat figures are there for all to see.

Left her nickers in the laundry basket, but the sunscreen came in handy ,,pretty hard going tday with that sun, started at 6am,and not a touch,,then bang on 12 noon,,fishing beat 1 in what id call pretty dead water, with a nasty upstream breeze, launching the flee square and letting it come round dead drift on the j,m fast sink,,then twitching it back when it was coming round below me a solid take,a nice fish 10lbs and virtually swallowing the flee(flamethrower),,so it had to be taken,,put up a great account, my mate Stu,lost a fish on the take later on,but with very low water levels there was little fly water, anyway,as i was puggled i phoned tweedsider to take over the reigns,so he and Stu are still at it,,me I'm off for a beer.

Another one to the list, how may fish has that been this year.
Never ventured oot, decided to also have a beer and watch the Scotland match.

Thats a good fish Colin, I arrived about 7pm and had a couple of runs through the croys. A really skinny grilse the first time through, much thinner than anything we had on Whiteadder, in fact kelt like in appearance. Next time one of these funny takes when you have not actually felt anything but the line stops. Tightened and a couple of yards of line of the reel then gone. Anyway enjoyed it and thanks for the invite.

I nice fish colin, incidentally my rod had 3 fish between 11 and 1 oclock yesterday, and same as you, had to twitch it, also a couple of more pulls. That Guideline rod the XLS is a crackin piece of kit for the dosh. Yes RP you should have stuck it out.
