Graeme and Stuart, since you are both offshore, and both share the Tuesday MC rod , Sloggi and I ensured your rods were not wasted today (at least Sloggi did )
I will have a wednesday rod for both of you when you get back no problem, as it will be Duncans and my turn to work soon.
The river is bogging with fish at times though, and for our beat this is a bit early, so all good!

You are not the only one stuck offshore. Me too Graeme, I'm stuck down in Brazil at the moment, bobbing about waiting on weather and wishing I was fishing, at least the forum keeps you in the loop. Nevermind, a few weeks left to go before crewchange and hopefully get a few days somewhere nice as a treat

An enjoyable week so far. On Monday night got a call from my pal george to come over to MaryC on the dee as he had landed 2. I arrived to find him into no3. A nice salmon 10lbs or so Took a rod at Park today. Had a grilse on first cast- it came off- if only i had a 100 year old guide book . Finished the morning with 2 landed, 3 lost and lots of plucks and pulls. Similar story in the afternoon2 landed 1 lost. The river was in fine fettle and it was a joy just to be out today. This is looking down the long pool. But with the right to roam, there is always the danger of bumping into undesirable elements- and here he is. And a lovely grilse to round it all off

Quite right Ross, I never realised that Popeye had taken over the Ghillie's job on Park South. And over fishing the opposite bank at Park Inn when Keith's away his holidays to boot, tut tut tut what 's the world comin to ;D

great going Ross, those gold cascade thingys seem to be the business ;D The monty and 10ft intermediate tip is a really nice combination - I used it on my last 2 trips to good effect as well looks a lovely stretch of water..... and I will refrain from commenting on the local inhabitants ;D
