I have not fished the Kercock and Delvine water for a few years and, as my previous post stated, I would like to make a long overdue return sometime in the near future. I can recall the Cottage Stream being a particularly nice fly pool and pretty straightforward to 'read' - is this still the case ? I seem to recall that the major flood of '91 (that shows you how long I have been away) shifted a lot of gravel and that the course of the river actually changed quite noticeably at various points. Not important - just curious. Regards

I haven't been able to visit Dennis and Kercock this year but I and my wife can't recommend him highly enough. Mrs Z was ill on the booked day and Dennis invited her back the next day to have a few casts. Service above and beyond IMHO No keyboard warrior is going to change that. Hope to see your posts soon Dennis.

I fished there today - nothing caught but saw 2 very close in. Baltic conditions. Always a great day out at Kercock though and sore sides from laughing too much!

I just read back two pages, signed on a few minutes ago Jases, the only thing missing there was George Bush . Where did sanity go ? and I don't mean Sanity Clause either ! I havent looked at this page since NT started his nonsense and to be honest I've not even looked in much lately either, just no time ,so my apologies folks. Thanks for the supportive posts to all concerned. Of late we have had a sh*t load of laughs, met several members of this site,a big plus for me that is and bugger all in the way of salmon UNTIL Thursday, bugger me ,someone caught a salmon of nine pounds , not big mind you but what a relief for Gary and I. I fully realise I have a reputation to keep down but the wait was beginning to get to me a touch. Now that the water is dropping away(keep doing it up there ) I am very hopeful that catches will improove in leaps and bounds, but being a realist I know that the temperature of the water tells me that in this hight of water the little b*ggers tend to keep going, but fear not we shall be back there tomorrow morning, bright eyed and bushy tailed (aye right ) ready to pit our wits (PITY THE SALMON WINNAE STOP FOR A LAUGH ) (they would if they could see some of the casting I see ) against the creatures of the wild, I,ve seen more otters and Kingfishers than I've seen Salmon of late to be truthfull.. For all of you who said they would like to come back, hurry, life is too serious. Thanks all.

Well lads and the odd lass, the river dropped a foot and nine inches overnight by my watch ,leaving the water hight at a coincidental foot and nine inches ! Yesterday George lost one as he was drawing it onto the wet gravel, the hook just came out. It never ceases to amaze me the salmon instantly become illigitimate when they come off the hook, how do these anglers know these things? ?? Confidence didn't get results today but we will renew the battle tomorrow !

Dennis, Looking forward to my next trip already. Supposed to be on 13th April, but sadly I have a wedding to attend in Braemar. I have a couple of days in May. Look forward to catching up, and catching with any luck.

The fish today was around 12lbs,returned by a PDAA member as was Friday's fish, the old chap Ian who caught it said it was his first salmon for two years but did not hesitate in telling me to put it back in the river, well done him. The height on the beat guage was1ft10 in. the water temp was 41F (convert it yersel !)

I had a visit to Kerkock on Friday and Saturday, this was my first trip to the Tay and I am glad I chose Kercock. Dennis and Gary were very helpfull and Dennis spent some time giving me some casting tuition, now I know where Its going wrong I can try to correct it, thanks for that Dennis. I realy enjoyed my two days fishing its a lovely beat with excellent facilities and two smashing ghillies. I connected with a Salmon, although it was only for a short time before it got off, I got a good look at it though absolute bar of silver about 8 or 9lbs. Two fish were caught over the weekend, one on Friday one on Saturday, both were about 10lbs. I will for certain be going again .
